Is Wig Addiction Marketplace an app?
No. Wig Addiction Marketplace is a website designed to work on both phones and computers.
You do not need to download anything from the app store. You can save the website to your phone’s home screen for easy access, just like an app.
For the best experience, we recommend opening the marketplace in Google Chrome.
Do I need an account to use the marketplace?
You can browse available wigs anytime.
To purchase a wig or sell your own wigs, you will need to create an account so your orders, listings, and information stay organized.
What can be sold on Wig Addiction Marketplace?
Approved items include:

Items not related to wigs are not allowed.

How do I become a seller?
Creating a seller account is easy! Click “Sell Now” on Wig Addiction Marketplace and follow the steps to create your shop.
Once your account is created, you can start adding your wigs, photos, descriptions, and prices.
Does it cost anything to list my wigs?
No.
There are no listing fees and no monthly seller fees.
You only pay a marketplace fee when your wig sells.
How much is the marketplace fee?
Wig Addiction Marketplace charges a 10% fee when your item sells.
This helps cover the cost of running the website, secure payment processing, marketplace features, and allows us to offer monthly cash prizes and continue improving the marketplace. The fee can simply be added into your price, so you still receive exactly what you want for your item.
Why should I pay 10% when I can sell free on Facebook?
Facebook is great for connecting, but it was not designed as a shopping platform.
The marketplace gives sellers:

Do I have my own seller shop?

Each seller gets their own shop page where buyers can view all of their available wigs in one place.
Buyers can also search by seller name.
How many wigs can I list?
You can list as many wigs as you would like.
The more wigs listed, the more chances buyers have to find your shop!
Can I sell used wigs?
Yes!
Both new and pre-loved wigs are welcome.
Please accurately describe the condition of your wig, including any wear, modifications, flaws, thinning, alterations, or repairs.
Honesty protects both buyers and sellers.
Can businesses sell on Wig Addiction Marketplace?
Yes!
Both individual wig lovers and wig businesses are welcome.
Can I edit my listing after posting?
Yes.
You can update your listing information, photos, price, and details from your seller account.
What happens after my wig sells?
Once your wig sells:
You receive an order notification
Package your wig safely
Ship your wig with tracking
Add tracking information
Your payout is processed through Stripe.
Can I remove my wig if I change my mind?
Yes.
You are always in control of your own listings.
Can I still share my marketplace listings in the Facebook group?

How are payments handled?
All payments are securely processed through Stripe, one of the largest online payment processors used by businesses and marketplaces worldwide.
Stripe allows buyers to safely checkout and allows sellers to receive payouts securely.
Does my payment go directly to Wig Addiction Marketplace?
No.
Sellers connect their own Stripe account during setup. Stripe securely processes payments and handles seller payouts.
Wig Addiction Marketplace does not collect payments and manually send money to sellers.
Why do sellers need to set up Stripe?
Stripe allows the marketplace to securely process payments, verify sellers, and send payouts.
Why does Stripe ask for personal information?
Stripe is required to verify the identity of sellers who receive payments.
This helps prevent fraud, fake accounts, and protects the marketplace community.
Can Wig Addiction Marketplace see my bank account, card number, or SSN?
No. 💗
Your sensitive payment information is handled securely by Stripe.
Wig Addiction Marketplace does not have access to your:
❌ Bank account information
❌ Debit/credit card numbers
❌ SSN/private verification information
Does the Marketplace have access to my money?
No.
Seller payouts are handled through Stripe.
As the marketplace operator, Wig Addiction Marketplace can view marketplace activity such as orders, sales, and payout history, but private banking information is not visible.
How long does it take to get paid?
Stripe handles seller payouts.
New Stripe accounts may have a longer first payout while Stripe verifies the account (typically 1 week). After the initial verification period, future payouts are processed faster according to Stripe’s payout schedule. (usually 2-3 days)
Can buyers use credit cards?
Yes.
Buyers can checkout using supported payment methods through Stripe.
Buyers do not need to create a Stripe seller account just to purchase a wig.
What happens if there is a payment dispute?
Stripe helps manage the dispute process between the buyer, seller, and payment provider.
Sellers may provide information such as:
✔ Tracking information
✔ Delivery confirmation
✔ Order details
✔ Photos/messages if needed
This helps create a more organized process for resolving payment issues.
Does Stripe charge a Goods & Services fee like PayPal?
No.
Stripe does not have a separate “Goods & Services” fee.
Stripe charges standard payment processing fees associated with online card transactions, similar to other checkout systems.
Will I receive a 1099 for selling wigs?
Stripe handles any required tax reporting documents for sellers.
If a seller meets the IRS reporting requirements for a 1099-K, Stripe will generate the required tax form and make it available through the seller’s account.
Wig Addiction Marketplace does not collect your tax information or personally issue 1099 forms.
Does receiving a 1099 mean I automatically owe taxes?
No.
A tax form simply reports payment activity. It does not automatically mean you owe taxes.
Everyone’s situation is different. For example, selling personal items, selling at a loss, or operating as a business may be treated differently.

Does Wig Addiction Marketplace charge sales tax?
At this time, sales tax is not added separately at checkout.
The price shown on a listing is the price the buyer pays for the item.
Sellers are responsible for their own tax obligations.
Why do some large marketplaces charge sales tax?
Large marketplaces may be required to collect sales tax when they reach certain sales thresholds under marketplace and state tax rules.
Wig Addiction Marketplace will continue to follow applicable requirements as the marketplace grows.
Will Wig Addiction Marketplace update tax features in the future?
